Continuing our work on the £100M Interchange development having completed the 24 storey, 318 BTR homes, the MSCP and the Plant Island we took design responsibility of the 120,000 sq ft HQ for L&G in the centre of Cardiff. The systems were completed in 2023.
The building incorporates state-of-the-art technology and comprises open atrium areas, an auditorium, flexible office and meeting spaces and a rooftop terrace. The Fire Alarm Cause and Effect development of this project, along with the staged Voice Evacuation System (working in partnership with Ambient System) was successfully delivered. The integrated Access and CCTV system package provides total security peace of mind for the customer.
The installations consist of: completed in 2023.
- Site wide networked Addressable Fire Alarm System with over 5000 devices on a network of 24 panels.
- Complex Cause and Effect Strategy for detection and evacuation, with a developed design by IFS.
- PAVA Voice Evacuation System – staged evacuation across the multiple floors.
- Emergency Voice Communication Type A and BSystems – to operate in conjunction with the Fire Alarm and PAVA.
- Integrated Security Management Platform incorporating door alarm monitoring – multiple integrated door and camera configurations for speed of operator use.
- Cyber Security and Penetration Testing Documentation.
- CCTV Video Wall displaying over 100 cameras.
- Over 100 x Access Control Doors.
