Innovative Fire & Security was appointed to deliver the complete Fire & Security package for the new Foodworks Distribution Centre in Weston-super-Mare, a flagship logistics facility designed to meet the rapidly increasing demand for efficient and sustainable food distribution across the UK.
The facility spans multiple warehouse halls equipped with high-bay racking, automated handling systems, and extensive chilled and frozen storage areas. Integrated office suites, welfare facilities, and staff training areas were also included to provide a modern and safe working environment for Foodworks’ growing workforce.
The IFS Systems comprised of:
Network of 14 Addressable Fire Alarm Panels and Aspirating Detection Systems with structured false alarm management and evacuation procedures.
Extensive IP CCTV and Access Control Systems, set up across the site Data & Structured Cabling network.
High Security Intruder Alarm Systems.
Entrance and Exit Carpark Barriers.
IP Video intercom systems, linked from the Barriers and each unit to individual user Handsets and the Main Reception.
